HEPA filters, filter out up to 99.5% of dust. This means that harmful dust, dust mites, pollen and pollutants are not expelled back into the air after you have vacuumed.  We recommend changing your HEPA filter at least once every 12 months for optimal results. 

FIlters should be cleaned every now and again to ensure that they are constantly working at their full capability. These HEPA filters are washable with water.
